Mallorca: unterschiedlicher kann eine Insel gar nicht sein. Der Süden mit den langen Sandstränden der Nordwesten mit der Tramuntana - das Gebirge von Mallorca - der Norden mit dem Cap Formentor und der großen Bucht von Alcudia und der Osten mit den vielen Hügeln und kleinen Calas.
Mallorca: la isla de contrastes y muy diversificada. El sur ofrece playas casi interminables, el noroeste las montañas de la Tramuntana, en el norte destacan Cap Formentor y la grande bahía de Alcúdia, en la zona costera al este hay muchas colinas y pequeñas calas.
Majorca: an island of amazing variety. In the south there are miles of sandy beaches, the northwest offers the wild mountainous ranges of the Tramuntana, the north features the headland of Cap Formentor and the spacious bay of Alcúdia, the east features numerous hills and little bays.
Tramuntana
Ein schöner Ausflug in die Tramuntana das Gebirge von Mallorca ist sehr zu empfehlen. Die Orte Valldemossa, Deiá, Sóller mit Port de Sóller und Fornalutx das mehrfach zum schönsten Dorf Spanien gewählt wurde, sind wunderschön und sehr ursprunglich.
Se recomienda hacer una excursión a la Tramuntana, la zona montañosa de Mallorca. Los pueblos de Valldemossa, Deiá, Sóller con el Port de Sóller y Fornalutx son muy hermosos y retienen su estilo especial y antiguo; ese último ha sido galardonado varias veces como la aldea más guapa de España.
A delightful trip into the mountainous area of the Tramuntana is highly recommended. Visit the charming and old-fashioned towns of Valldemossa, Deiá, Sóller with its harbour Port de Sóller and Fornalutx, the latter often awarded prizes as the prettiest village in Spain.
Cap Formentor
Das Cap Formentor im Norden Mallorcas mit seinem Leuchtturm und den beeindruckenden Steilküsten laden zu einem Ausflug ein. Gleichzeitig sollte ein Besuch der schönen Stadt Pollença gemacht werden.
El Cap Formentor en el norte de Mallorca invita a una excursión para ver su faro y los impresionantes acantilados. Se recomienda aprovechar para visitar al hermoso pueblo de Pollença.
The headland of Cap Formentor in the north of Majorca with its lighthouse and impressive steep cliffs is well worth a trip. While you are there, visit the very attractive town of Pollença.
Palma
Die Hauptstadt Palma ist die pulsierende Metropole der Insel. Durch die wunderschöne Altstadt mit der Kathedrale La Seu bummeln, einen Cafe Solo auf der Plaza Major oder der Besuch einer Tapas Bar zahlen sich sicher aus. Nicht zu vergessen der große Hafen und Yachthafen, wo jeden Tag viele Kreuzfahrtschiffe anlegen.
La ciudad de Palma es la metrópolis pulsando de la isla. Vale la pena pasear por el hermoso centro antiguo con la catedral, La Seu, tomar un café en la Plaza Major o entrar en un bar para tomar unas tapas. Sin olvidar el espacioso puerto y la marina, donde amarran cada día muchos cruceros.
The principal city of Palma is the pulsing metropolis of the island. Enjoy wandering through the delightful old town with its cathedral La Seu, have a coffee on the Plaza Major or visit a tapas bar. The spacious harbour and yacht marina are very impressive, with cruise liners arriving every day.
Inselmitte
Eine Fahrt über das Inselinnere zeigt das ursprüngliche Mallorca, wo die Landwirtschaft noch Haupteinnahmequelle ist. Sineu wo mittwochs ein großer Wochenmarkt abgehalten wird, ist einen Besuch wert.
Viajando por el centro de la isla se puede apreciar aún el Mallorca más original, en donde la agricultura todavía juega un papel importante en el trabajo y los ingresos. Se recomienda, también, visitar a Sineu con su importante mercado de cada miércoles.
Travelling over the middle of the island you can see evidence of the older roots of Majorca, where agriculture is still a major source of work and income. A visit to Sineu is also recommended, where there is a large weekly market on Wednesdays.

Mandelblüte
Ende Januar verwandelt sich die Insel für ca. einen Monat in eine weiße bis rosarote Wolke - die Mandelblüte hat begonnen.
A finales de enero la isla se convierte durante un mes en una nube de flores blancas y rosas – ya ha empezado la época de floración de los almendros.
At the end of January the island envelops itself for about a month in a cloud of white and pink blossom – the almond blossom has begun.
